What would your ideal makeup brand look like? Are there any products you think are missing from the market? What issues in the cosmetics industry would you like to see addressed? For example, I wish there were more high-quality makeup brushes available at drugstores, or that drugstores offered testers.
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Sensory-friendly makeup! I love makeup and would wear a full face daily if it didn’t feel so heavy or make my nose run and eyes water. Makeup that feels like I’m not wearing any would be incredible.
I totally get it! I went through that for years too. Gaining confidence in your appearance without makeup has its downsides because now I can only manage a full face if I’m high . Also, have you noticed it’s harder to focus or think when you’re wearing it? I can definitely relate—it feels so weird, right? Lmao.
Unpopular opinion:
I wish there was a brand that offered only travel-sized products at affordable drugstore prices. Right now, minis often cost more per ounce than the full-sized versions.
Everything expires before I can use it all, or the formula starts to get weird halfway through.
This would have been amazing (and still would be) during the beauty guru era. At least it would help reduce waste a bit.
Exactly, and we could fit all our makeup essentials into one pouch—no more decanting or scooping into smaller containers for travel.
That’s exactly what I said too!
Fewer products that are overly orange. We need more OLIVE tones, especially LIGHT OLIVE. Not every fair-skinned person has pink or yellow undertones, and neutrals just don’t cut it.
What brands consider “neutral” is honestly a huge joke to me.
I’m convinced that brands use their neutral shades as a catch-all for everything. They might throw in an olive or desaturated shade occasionally, but it’s usually within the neutral range. Most of the so-called neutral shades are either neutral cool or neutral warm. I rarely see a true neutral shade.
I’ve been using foundation for 15 years and still haven’t found my perfect shade . They’re always too orange, too pink, or the olive ones are way too green—there’s no in-between.
