I’ve always been curious if people actually follow the advice to moisturize their body every night. Personally, I’m not very consistent with it. I make sure to moisturize my face daily, but I only moisturize the rest of my body when it feels dry.
I wonder if it depends on factors like age and location. I’m 24 and living in Georgia, so maybe it’s different for someone in a dry climate.
Do you all moisturize every night? I’m genuinely curious.
I apply lotion to my entire body every day after I shower. It’s always been my routine, but I never knew it was something we were supposed to do or that it was recommended.
Same here! I only started moisturizing my whole body last year when I found a lotion that absorbs well. Before that, I would just moisturize my face and the back of my arms because of my KP. Now, I make sure to cover everywhere.
It’s probably for the best, even though my skin always felt smooth. If I looked closely at the right angle, I could see it was dry. I’m very pale, so it wasn’t obvious.
Edit: I also come from a mostly humid climate, except for a few winter months.
Same here! I do it because all the women in my family insisted it was an important step. Even though we’re from a humid tropical climate, we still make sure to moisturize regularly.
I heard from a dermatologist that it’s actually recommended, but of course, it depends on the needs of each skin type.
Only when my skin feels dry. Otherwise, I don’t moisturize after every shower.
I’ve had some skin issues, and my doctor recommended this. Applying lotion to damp skin helps you use less product and improves absorption.
