I’m really pale, almost transparent, and I always see girls with beautiful, deep tans. But when I fake tan, I end up looking pale again after showering. Can anyone recommend a dark tan that looks natural and lasts a long time? Thanks!
St Tropez. Trust me, I’m a redhead with fair skin. When I use it, people think it’s a real tan.
Is this the one please?
I love that it has more of an olive tone than an orange one. It’s perfect!
I love it too, but I can’t wear a white top when I use it. It doesn’t transfer easily, but a little sweat will make it run. I learned that the hard way!
I agree, it’s a great choice!
I just want to point out that it has dyes in it, which concerns me since it’s applied to my skin. I’m cautious about using it for long periods.
I love it too! I’m really pale and have Vitiligo, and it helps even out my skin tone.
What are your tanning goals? Are you planning to make tanning a regular thing? I’ve tried a lot of self-tanners and each one is good for different things.
I get the darkest tan with foams, for sure. They tend to be cooler-toned and less orange, but they fade faster and you have to keep up with it. After a while, I switched to tanning drops mixed with lotion. I use it twice a week to keep a consistent tan without looking too pale. It’s not as dark, but it looks healthier.
There are a lot of good brands out there like Tan Luxe, Tanology, and Isle of Paradise. They all have better ingredients, but the more expensive ones are usually better quality. I’d suggest checking the labels before you buy, since some use harmful dyes.
I like Bondi Sands tanning foam. It works great when you use a velvet mitt.
I use Tanologist gradual tanning lotion, and it’s amazing. It doesn’t have that strong fake tan smell and gives a beautiful, natural look. I also use it to extend my mousse tan.
I get the purple bottle (Medium-dark). For mousse, I like either Bali Body or Bondi Sands Ultra Dark.
For exfoliating, I use the Scrubbee from Lush on my elbows, knees, and ankles, and exfoliating gloves after a bath with a moisturizing bath bomb.
I use Bali Body mousse. It’s great!
Tanologist mousse is awesome! I wouldn’t use anything else now.
Loving Tan is another great option.
I used St Moriz, but it was way too sticky. It drove me crazy. Then I tried Garnier Ambre Solair Spray, and it’s perfect. It’s affordable and gives nearly the same result without the sticky feeling.
Bondi Sands tanning foam works really well for me.
I like San Tropez Express Dark tanning mousse, but I don’t like the new fuzzy blue glove. I prefer the old black foam glove if you can still find it.
Bondi Sands is my go-to!
As a fellow pale person, I highly recommend Norvel Venetian Tan. You need to put the liquid into a foam bottle, but it’s so worth it. It lasts the longest and fades really evenly. It’s also purple-toned, so it gives a very natural color.
I googled it after you mentioned it and saw that it has dyes linked to health concerns. It gives a great result, but I stopped using something similar for the same reason. I have autoimmune issues, so I had to switch brands. I know the dyes are FDA-approved, but they come with a warning in Europe, so I wanted to give you a heads-up.
