Affordable makeup for Black women?

Hi! I’m trying to stick to a budget for my makeup. I’m looking for recommendations for concealer, foundation, lip gloss, eyebrow pencil, and primer from drugstore brands, Walmart, or Target.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Take a look at the Made by Mitchell Curve Case. It’s around $35 USD and includes 4 cream blush shades and 4 contour shades.

Honestly, I’d splurge on foundation. For concealer, go with Sephora’s brand. There are plenty of great lip glosses from Kosas, NYX, and Maybelline. For primer, ELF is a solid choice, and for blush, both ELF and Milani have excellent options.

My friend who loves makeup really likes Juvia’s Place.

Same here! I’m not Black, but I really like the brand. They have a lot of great products. I’ve used their foundations, and I currently use their pressed powder. Most of my favorite lip products are from Juvia’s Place too. While their prices aren’t as low as traditional drugstore brands, Ulta often has sales and coupons that make them more affordable.

Black Opal offers a great shade range, and they incorporate green and blue pigments in their foundations for better color correction.

Black Radiance is a fantastic drugstore brand worth checking out. Also, LYS Beauty, available at Sephora, is a Black-owned company that’s quite affordable. They offer excellent bronzers, foundations, and deep shades of lipsticks and blushes.

I was going to mention that too! Black Radiance is made by the same company as Wet n Wild (Markwins), and their entire color range is designed to cater to deeper skin tones.
