What’s the current opinion on the E.L.F brand?

The prices are unbeatable, but how’s the quality?

Everything I’ve bought from them feels cheap and low-quality, which might be the point. Their packaging is also quite deceptive. For example, the primers in pump bottles have a smaller bottle inside, so you get much less product than you think. You really have to watch the listed weights. I don’t bother with them anymore because that just doesn’t sit right with me.

Their primer is awful. Whenever I see people asking for advice because their foundation looks bad, they’re usually using that TikTok-famous primer. I bought a sample and hated it; my daughter tried it and ended up throwing it in the trash.

I watched a Robert Welsh YouTube video on how to apply it, and it turns out it only works with certain formulas. Dr. Jart BB cream pairs well with it, but some of my other products don’t.

That’s a shame because I really love the Power Grip Primer.

I really like it :woman_shrugging:t2:

The prices are getting out of hand—£8 for a lip gloss? But there are some quality products, like the Lash n Roll mascara, which is my favorite.

Yeah, what puts me off is that while the quality is good, if you compare the price per gram, most of their products are almost as expensive as Sephora’s. Especially when they use those giant doe foot applicators.

Honestly, I don’t mind smaller sizes. I prefer being able to finish a product before it goes bad or I get tired of it.
