What’s the best foundation for oily skin?

My skin gets extremely oily, even with an oil control gel cream, foundation, concealer, powder, and setting spray. It becomes shiny within an hour, even in winter.

Can you recommend any medium to full coverage foundations? Thanks!

Powder foundation is your best bet. I use a priming powder, followed by powder foundation, and finish with a setting powder.

I don’t have a foundation recommendation, but as someone with oily skin, I want to share my new favorite product. It’s a cloudy, smooth, sticky substance in a compact that you dab on your face. It instantly absorbs oil, leaving you with an airbrushed, matte finish. It’s made of silica, which absorbs oil on contact. Search for “Candy Bella compact” online, and you’ll find several options for around $5.

MAC Studio Fix has been great for me! I also love the pre-reformulated Dior Face and Body, as well as Lancôme Teint Idole—they all work really well for my skin.

Dior Backstage used to be my go-to foundation before they reformulated it. It looked great and lasted all day. After the reformulation, it wouldn’t stay on my chin and around my nose, which get pretty oily. I’ve tried various foundations, primers, and powders over the past two years without finding anything that lasts on my oily areas.

Recently, I decided to try the TirTir cushion foundation from Amazon after hearing good things about it. I applied it with a damp sponge for a nice medium coverage, which I prefer. My skin looked great, and it lasted 10 hours without primer, set with Nyx pressed powder. Even after working up a sweat walking my dog, the foundation stayed in place. It was a very pleasant surprise.

Are you referring to the Face and Body foundation? I’m almost out of my original bottle too :sob:. It’s the best long-lasting foundation I’ve ever used!

Yes, the Face and Body foundation. I believe they reformulated it in Spring 2023. If I had known, I would have stocked up on the old version!
