I’ve been mixing Yummy Skin by Danessa Myricks with the Blurring Stick from Fenty, and it’s a great combination. However, I’m looking for something new for winter that’s more flawless and sheer for medium dry skin.
I use IT Cosmetics CC Cream, though I’m not sure if it counts as a foundation. I was applying it with my fingers for a while, which worked fine, but yesterday I used a beauty blender for the first time in a long while and was pleasantly surprised by how good it looked. I wondered why I ever stopped using it.
This is what I use too! It’s so good! I apply a primer first with my fingers, and then the CC cream with an EcoTools makeup sponge.
Which primer do you use? How does it improve the CC cream? I’ve never worn primer before.
I’m currently using a Maybelline primer. I was using Smashbox, but I ran out and just grabbed the Maybelline one at Walmart. I was already in the habit of using primer with my previous foundation before switching to the IT CC Cream. I find that with a primer, the CC cream lasts longer and provides better, more even coverage. I only use a tiny bit of the CC cream—about half a pea-sized amount on the top of my hand. I dab the sponge onto it and apply it to my face. A little goes a long way.
Revlon ColorStay is my tried and true foundation. I prefer applying it with a brush, but I sometimes use a sponge as well.
