Hello! Does anyone have advice on removing upper lip hair? I can’t wax because I use retinol, and I don’t want to shave. I usually pluck with tweezers, but it always leaves a shadow. Does anyone know of an effective alternative method?
I also use retinol but still wax my face without any issues. I just take a few days’ break and apply aloe vera.

Using retinol makes your skin more sensitive, which increases the chance of a reaction to waxing.
I use retinol too, so I switched to threading my eyebrows and upper lip. In my opinion, it hurts more than waxing, but it’s over quickly.
Laser hair removal is a great option if you have dark hair follicles that are darker than your skin. If you have lighter hair, like blondes, electrolysis is a good alternative. I’ve only tried laser hair removal myself.
Why not shave? It’s the easiest, most inexpensive, and least risky option. Plus, it’s actually good for your skin.
