Hey everyone, do you remember those makeup kits we used to get for Christmas and birthdays? They had tons of mini eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, and lip glosses, all in such pretty boxes 
. They always made me feel so fabulous. I’m feeling nostalgic and want to find pictures of them to compare with current products and see if I can find something similar.
Does anyone remember any brand names? What memories do you have with them, and what did you love about them?
These kits were generally aimed more at teens, but I’m also curious about the ones I got in my earlier childhood (yes, with the stick-on earrings 
).
If you’re interested, they still sell some of these kits around Christmas at places like CVS.
I had a makeup kit from Victoria’s Secret in the early 2010s (a bit later than the time you mentioned). I absolutely loved it! It was my first time having so many makeup options. Even though I didn’t know much about applying makeup back then, I still had a lot of fun experimenting.
I did some googling, and the names 132 Color and Shany sound really familiar from what I used to see at the drugstore. I received a few of these sets as gifts, and I remember one that I particularly liked because the eyeshadows were packaged into smaller palettes (quads, maybe) instead of being in a big palette or just single pans stuck in a drawer.
132 Color definitely rings a bell! I loved those mini palettes too—they often came with several in each set. I felt so regal having so many options to choose from 
. One box I had probably had around 15 mini palettes, each with two eyeshadows.
I’m not sure if this is what you meant, but I remember over 15 years ago, Estée Lauder used to release holiday sets around Black Friday at Macy’s.
