Is sunscreen clogging my pores?

I’m new to skincare and started using a small amount of Neutrogena Ultra sheer sunscreen, but it caused bumps on my cheeks. I initially thought that I was using too much that’s why my pores were getting clogged. Then I tried the two-finger method, and after just three days, the bumps returned. My skin is acne-prone, combination, and slightly sensitive. Is this normal when starting out, or can anyone suggest a better sunscreen?

You need to know that this product is comedogenic and causes closed comedones/pores. I’ve personally experienced the same. I even switched from this product to the Minimalist light liquid, which is non-comedogenic. I’ve been using it for a while now with no issues so far! Maybe you should try it out and bring some feedback.

Oh, Okay… I didn’t know that. Thanks so much for this. I’ll surely try out your recommendation.

Furthermore, always ensure that you double cleanse your skin. If you’re susceptible to closed comedones, skip the typical oil cleanser and instead use a water-based cleanser twice, first to eliminate dust, oil, and pollutants, and then again for a deeper clean.

Yoh, if you’ve got acne and oily skin, a gel face wash is the way to go, especially in that humid weather! Try it and watch all the clogged pores issue disappear.

Ensure you wipe that sunscreen off properly at the end of the day. Just using face wash ain’t gonna cut it bruh, it’ll just pile up. Grab some micellar water instead, works like magic!

Thanks much, I’ll sure try Micellar water. I only use neutrogena products and what I’m currently on is their oily skin facewash.
