I recently switched from contacts to glasses and have been struggling with eyeshadow application. My prescription is quite strong (-7.5), so I can’t see what I’m doing, lol. Any tips?
I’m a -6.5. I apply my makeup while wearing my glasses, going back and forth between on and off. For eye makeup, I use a magnifying mirror with my glasses off. I put my contacts in last because my left eye is very sensitive. If I do my eye makeup first and any fallout gets on my contact, my eye waters all day, ruining my makeup and being super annoying.
I’m the same way. I wear contacts all the time, unfortunately, lol. I hate wearing my glasses because they make my eyes look tiny and the lenses are embarrassingly thick, even with the extra cost for “thinner lenses.”
I hate glasses too! But my contacts were causing issues with my eyes, so my doctor recommended switching to glasses until we figure it out. :
Damn, I’m supposed to be a -7.75, but my doctor recommended staying at -7.5 for comfort reasons.
If you haven’t tried daily contacts, I highly recommend them. My eyes used to be very sensitive to contacts, and they would film up quickly and become uncomfortable due to my allergies. Switching to dailies made a big difference for me.
Yeah I’ve heard dailies are good, but they’re soooo expensive. once I get my eye insurance sorted I will definitely ask my doctor!
Travel sized brushes so you can get nice and close to the mirror!
Oooh travel size is an excellent idea
I use a lighted magnifying mirror. I think it’s like 5x magnifying.
Thats what works for me
