It’s a tough choice because I love them all! 
I’m a MAC fan and love the smell and feel of their lipsticks. I just bought a retro matte, even though it’s not the current trend. I use glosses too, but I don’t reach for them as much because they fade quickly and get all over my coffee cups. I’m not a fan anymore.
Stain all day, then a plumping gloss! :)
I go for a stain with gloss on top because stains can look crusty without extra hydration. And I mean a serious stain! I really like Wonderskin Whimsical and Saechu Muah-ve. I use a stain for work every day, and it stays on all day, even after eating lunch with an oily dressing

team matte lipsticks, both bullets and liquids. otherwise team lip stain. i hate glossy lips and i want the shade to last all day. i impulsively bought a bunch of lip oils and lip butter balms this year, and i can only wear them at night because they’re so glossy
