Hello guys, I have been trying to get rid of dark circles for sometime now and I can’t see any improvement. I have tried Vitamin C serum, minimized exposure to the sun, a few friends also recommended some eye creams but nothing has worked so far. It’s really messing with my self esteem, can anyone help please?
Have you thought about genetics? That it might be a genetic thing? Sometimes the stubborn dark circles are mostly genetic. You could try using castor oil, and the Laneige eye cream works wonders from what I’ve seen.
I know right…? I’ve also struggled with the same issue for the past 6 or 7 years. Although I’ve tried fillers and trust my doctor, he mentioned that fillers don’t really address hereditary dark under-eye circles, and he was right. Like you, I’ve been desperate to reduce them, as people constantly ask if I’m getting enough sleep.
Yeah… genetic dark circles can only be fully treated with professional procedures or surgery. Skincare products like vitamin C, arbutin, and retinol may reduce their appearance, but won’t completely remove them.
Fingers crossed it’s not genetic! I’m currently giving sweet almond oil a try after the clock-app girlies convinced me to try, lol. I’ll probably try out castor oil next, depending on how they appear in four weeks.
My dermatologist said that nothing will truly help with dark circles except fillers, not even pricey eye creams or masks. I had my appointment last month, hoping to find a solution for my severe dark circles. I was even tempted to try that viral coffee mask from TikTok, but she explained that while these products can hydrate and reduce puffiness, they won’t actually get rid of dark circles.
